Construcciones
Mit den Construcciones habe ich mir die Möglichkeit geschaffen, spielerisch einfach und in kurzer Zeit -quasi- hausgroße Konstruktionen aus Holzplanken zu zimmern.
In Wahrheit verwende ich dazu die Klebestreifen, mit denen ich zuvor Zeitungsausschnitte für andere Arbeitsgruppen auf Arbeitsplatten fixiert hatte, um sie auf der Rückseite mit schwarzer Acrylfarbe zu grundieren.
Beim Abziehen der Klebestreifen bleiben zu den schwarzen Farbresten auch Farb-, Bild- und Schrifteile des Zeitungsmaterials am Klebestreifen haften, die den Holzplanken ihre Maßerung, Farbe und vereinzelte Texteinsprengsel mitgeben.
Zug um Zug mit dem Abziehen jedes Streifens errichte ich damit poetische Bauwerke, die ich je nach Länge und Struktur der Balken ganz spontan und ohne verherigen Plan gestalte.
Construcciones
Construcciones have given me the opportunity to construct house-sized creations from wooden planks in a playful, simple way and in a short amount of time.
In reality, I use the adhesive strips that I had previously fixed newspaper clippings with for other workgroups onto work surfaces, in order to prime them on the back with black acrylic paint.
As I peel off the adhesive strips, not only do traces of black paint remain, but also bits of color, images, and characters from the newspaper material stick to the strips, giving the wooden planks their individual grain, color, and scattered text fragments.
Step by step, with each strip I peel off, I create poetic structures inspired by the length and texture of the individual planks, spontaneously and without any prior plan.
