Soul Source 3-D Records
Während meiner Residency im sogenannten Bildhauer-Atelier des bmkoes an der Cité Internationale des Artes in Paris entschloss ich mich folgerichtig, meine Platten-Arbeiten in die dritte Dimension voranzutreiben:
Dies sowohl innerhalb der Objekte selbst -als nun tatsächlich drei-, statt bisher mehr oder weniger zwei-dimensionale Objekte -, als auch hinsichtlich ihrer Spielbarkeit, ihres visuellen Klangs, -also der Positionierung dieser Plattenobjekte im vorgegebenen Raum meines Studios.
Die spezifische Architektur des Bildhauer-Ateliers und seine beeindruckende Wendeltreppe führten mich fast von selbst zu einer völlig neuen Serie von "Soul Source 3-D Records", die schließlich zur Eröffnung meiner Open Studio Show released wurden.
Soul Source 3-D Records
According to my residency in the so-called sculptor’s studio of the bmkoes at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, I consequently decided to take my Soul Source Records into the third dimension:
Both within the objects themselves - which would now become truly three-dimensional, rather than the more or less two-dimensional Wall pieces they had been until then - as well as in terms of their playability and their visual sound - referring to the positioning of these record objects within the given space of my studio.
The specific architecture of the sculptor’s studio and its impressive spiral staircase almost inevitably led me to a completely new series of “Soul Source 3-D Records,” which were finally released at the launch of my Open Studio Show.
